How Is This Different to a Licenced Chaperone?
The local council approves a licensed Chaperone to professionally care for “children in the performance & entertainment” industry. My primary role as a chaperone is protecting, safeguarding, supporting, and providing an enjoyable experience with the child’s best interests whilst supervised in a broadcast or non-broadcast event. I stay close to the child and monitor breaks and mealtimes, ensuring balanced rest and recreation. A professional chaperone has undertaken exceptional child safeguarding knowledge completed an enhanced DBS, and Paediatric First Aid training. As a specialist, my responsibility is extensively adopted in a calm, patient approach that encourages the child to feel relaxed, comfortable, and safe.
** The present situation surrounding Coronavirus has slightly eased for both parents and nannies. Nannies can continue to provide childcare services, including in the home, to help and support parents in need to rebalance work with home child life. Still, continue to act safe and stay cautious.
